Tim Maghan Bio.jpg

Originally from Keizer, Oregon, Tim joins the team with fifteen years of experience playing, and five years coaching baseball.  He comes from a family that has been around sports for over 40 years.  His father was an Athletic Director as well as a Coach, and working with kids is something he enjoys and has been apart of his entire life.

Tim was an All-State performer at McNary High School in Keizer, Oregon.  He played Division one baseball, as a first baseman, for the San Diego State Aztecs from 1997 to 1998, and finished his college career, locally, attending Sacramento State from 1999 to 2001, where he was the Hornets’ team captain.  Tim earned baseball scholarships at each school.

Tim has been rooted in Sacramento since graduating from Sacramento State, earning his degree in Strategic Management in 2001.  He coaches locally in Rancho Cordova Little League and lives in the Gold River Community.  His wife Allison, and sons, Blake and Brady, are his main passions above the game of baseball.

When Tim isn't coaching baseball, he loves to compete in BBQ competitions.  This has developed into a hobby outside the game and has taken him all over the State of California to compete.
